First Latin American Conference on Learning Objects - LACLO 2006

Important: The deadline for papers and poster submissions has been extended to August 14, 2006.

The University "Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL)" – Ecuador and the ARIADNE Foundation for the European Knowledge Pool (ADIADNE), will be hosting the "The First Latin-American Conference on Learning Objects – LACLO 2006" this coming October 23 to 27, in Guayaquil – Ecuador, with the support of the Latin American Cooperation of Academic Networks – CLARA and the Ecuadorian Consortium for Advance Internet Development – CEDIA. LACLO is endorsed by ADIADNE to bring the theory and practice of this Learning Objects Community together, share experiences and look for opportunities to create a regional and intercontinental federated network of repositories.

The LACLO 2006 Conference is open to all interested scholars who are researching in the area of learning objects, its applications, technical and managerial issues and their impact on business, management and education systems and society as a whole.

The program committee encourages contributions in the format of papers, panels, posters or tutorials that address issues relevant to the application of Learning Object Technologies in the Latin American region. All the accepted contributions will be published in the conference proceedings. The best contributions will be fast tracked to publication in relevant international journals.
