With the help of PROLEARNs local organizers, HUT Dipoli - Anna-Kaarina Kairamo and Tapio Koskinnen - we organized a very interesting workshop at the Eden Conference 2005 in Helsinki, Finnland. About 60 participants listened to various presentations outlining the PROLEARN activities and their relevance in higher education. As part of professional learning, there were a number of overlapping issues that lead to interesting discussions, e.g. on technologies for learning at the workplace, respective business models, usage scenarios and roadmaps for professional learning.
Three company representatives gave an interesting view on their perspectives of professional learning, outlining needs as well as possible usage scenarios, hindering factors and requirements.
The picture above shows Martin Wolpers introducing PROLEARNs basic concepts to the interested audience.
