Call for Papers: Technology for Collaborative Learning and Special Issue on Mobile Learning

This Special Issue of the ATL journal is expected to contain a collection of top quality papers addressing various issues and aspects of applications of advanced technology for collaborative learning (CL): technology for CL, software and hardware systems for CL, communication and interactions in CL, e-Pedagogy, technology for virtual learning communities, CL best cases and practices, etc.

Main Topics

Main topics include but are not limited to applications of advanced technology for innovative collaborative learning and training:

Technology:


  • innovative technology for CL (planning, design, development, testing, deployment, integration, maintenance, etc.)

  • 3D CL environments

  • innovative software tools and software/hardware systems for CL

  • services for CL

  • CL best cases and practices
  • CL research and theory

  • CL-oriented instructional strategies
  • CL-oriented pedagogy

  • virtual CL vs. in-classroom CL

  • CL and critical thinking.

This Special Issue of the ATL journal is expected to contain a collection of top quality papers addressing various issues and aspects of applications of mobile technology in education: mobile learning, mobile training, courseware for mobile learning/training, software and tools, handheld devices and equipment, hardware and software/hardware systems, services for innovative mobile learning and training, and other related aspects.

Main Topics
Main topics include but are not limited to applications of advanced wireless technology and services for innovative learning and training:
Technology:

  • innovative wireless technology and services for learning and training (planning, development, testing, deployment, integration, maintenance, etc.)
  • best practices on applications of advanced wireless devices and services for teaching, learning, education and training
  • software tools and applications for wireless learning and teaching
  • state-of-the-art software and hardware/software wireless systems for learning and teaching
  • applications of wireless communication technology for advanced learning and teaching
  • wireless security;

Learning Content:

  • design and development of learning content based on active utilization of wireless technology;
  • national digital libraries and national repositories of wireless-based learning materials
  • academic degree programs on wireless technology (organization, courseware, labs, etc.)

Organization/Infrastructure:
* wireless universities and colleges (planning, organization, results, etc.)
* mobile learning in academia and mobile training in industry (planning, organization, feedback, results, future developments, etc.)
* academia-industry collaboration on wireless learning and training
